On my tourist for a day I went to "Islote", it's a beach in "Arecibo", that's usually for locals and there aren't really tourist on that area. I went with my cousin Ivana, and my boyfriend Diego, since they know and have a better pronunciation than mine and I really didn't wanted to be called out on not being a tourist. I choose "Islote" because it's a surf and locals beach so there really are never tourist on that area and I wanted to see how we would be treated as "tourist". Let me tell you there where a small group of high schoolers or college people; couldn't really pin point it. They where the only once I there so when we tried to engage on small talk with them they really were annoyed by us and in other words told us to get lost.  When we left "Islote", we went to a small restaurant that I'd gone to before at least two times and this time the waitress was a young lady who understood English really well and could take our orders; I mean it wasn't difficult you know, we all asked for "mofongos". She was nicer to us much more than to the other people on the restaurant. We had a fun time playing pretend but really just preferred being treated as locals for the good and the bad.
